Hi there- there’s lots of places to burn off energy in Arlington and close by.

Knee High Ninja in Falls Church has an indoor playtime on Monday/Wednesday mornings- http://www.kneehighninja.com/basicinfo.php?page=kneehighninjaplayground
Sign up for an Arlington County class starting in January (winter session), plus there are some classes starting up mid Fall session in November. http://www.arlingtonva.us/departments/parksrecreation/scripts/classes/parksrecreationscriptsclassesclasses.aspx
JW Tumbles in Arlington has fun classes- http://arlington.jwtumbles.com/
Look into Fairlington Co-op- has a classes for 1-year olds and 2-year olds and the new semester starts in January. http://www.fairlingtonplaygroup.org/
Check out storytimes at the Arlington libraries- there are a bunch and the librarians mix in song and games. http://library.arlingtonva.us/departments/libraries/kids/storytimes.aspx
Lastly- the National Building Museum in DC has a fun indoor play area for kids, the Building Zone. Plus there is a ton of room to run around inside. http://www.nbm.org/exhibitions-collections/exhibitions/building-zone.html

I just wanted to say that this is a great website. We are new to the area (also moved here in ’09) and have been looking for things to do. When you are new to an area, it isn’t easy to know where to go, what to do, etc. Our son is 2, so we will definitely be checking in on your website.
Also, I am a food blogger, and I have a section for kids if you are ever looking for new foods to try on your little one! Take care!

Hello
I am an education coordinator in DC. I have scheduled a trip to Gravelly Park for a group of preschoolers based on a recommendation, however, I have never been is there a play area for children? We will be going on Monday March 28

Hi Chastity! There are no play structures for kids there (playground, etc). However, there is a ton of room to run and play. I would bring balls, bubbles, and trikes, and the kids will have a great time.

Hi! I really love the look of your site and the layout! I just started a site called “Super NOVA Mommy.” It focuses on free and cheap children’s activities in the Northern VA area. Right now I feel like it is very heavily focused on FFX County (where I live,) but as time goes on, I want to add more Arlington activities. (I lived in Arlington for 2 years…pre children.) I would love to put up a link to your blog under my blogroll. Please check out http://www.supernovamommy.com and you can also “like” me on facebook.
